The General Sir John Monash Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Jane Wilson to its Board, effective from 9th September 2010. Dr Wilson has a background in medicine, finance, banking and consulting and has over 20 years experience in business strategy and corporate governance. After completing medical training, she acquired an MBA from the Harvard Business School where she studied agribusiness and the health sector. Dr Wilson is Chair of IMBcom Pty Ltd, and a Director of CathRx Ltd, UQ Holdings Ltd, Sonic Healthcare and Universal Biosensors Inc. She lives and works in Queensland, where she is Finance Director of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust and a University of Queensland Senator.
Ms Jillian Segal AM, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board, expressed her delight at Jane’s acceptance of a directorship:
“I am very pleased that Dr Wilson has joined the Board. She brings to the Foundation Board substantial experience of Queensland industry and academia as well as an important background in medicine and science".
