Universities hold John Monash Scholarships Information Sessions

Applications have opened for the 2013 John Monash Scholarships, and Australian universities across the nation are supporting potential Applicants by holding information sessions on the John Monash and other elite Scholarships.

Recent and forthcoming information sessions on Scholarships to be offered for study commencing in 2013 include:

  • Macquarie University (NSW) held a session on Tuesday 27 March 2012, attended by about 60 students. The Rhodes Scholarships and Endeavour Awards were also presented. Scholarships Officer Vivienne Latham  can provide information for those who missed the event.

 

  • On Friday 18 May 2012 at 12.30pm the University of Melbourne (Victoria) will hold an information session for Humanities Honour Students on the John Monash Scholarships. Dr Bridget Vincent, a John Monash Scholarship recipient in 2006, now working as a McKenzie Fellow at the University along with Dr Peter Binks, CEO of the John Monash Foundation (pictured above), will talk about what the scholarships can offer as well as provide insights into the selection process.The session will conclude with light refreshments.   • The University of New South Wales is holding its Prestigious Scholarships Information Session at 1-3pm on Tuesday 22 May 2012 in the John Niland Scientia Building at its Kensington Campus, featuring the John Monash, Rhodes, Fulbright and Australian Government awards. Please contact Dr William Lao directly if you are interested in attending.

 

  • Professor David Copolov and Monash Research Graduate School are holding an information session of prestigious scholarships (including The Prime Minister's Australia Asia Endeavour Awards; John Monash; Fulbright and Rhodes Scholarships) on Friday 25 May 2012 between 12.00 - 2.00pm.  Please contact Arun Kumar directly if you are interested in attending.
     
  • Flinders University (South Australia) will hold its session at 11am on Monday 28 May 2012 in the Function Centre at its Bedford Park Campus, featuring the John Monash, Fulbright and Australian Government awards. Please contact Gordon Petrie directly if you are interested in attending.


Most other universities will make information on Scholarships available to interested students via their Scholarships or Postgraduate Careers offices, or via their websites. Further information sessions will be arranged at the request of individual universities.
